THINGS YOU SHOULD ABSOLUTELY NOT DO BEFORE PURCHASING A HOME
- Don’t quit or change your job.
- Don’t buy any large ticket items, take loans out or anything that will pull your credit.
- If anyone gifts large sums of money get a gift letter. (a bank statement from them might be needed if the amount is questioned.
- Not telling me about animal allergies.
- Getting advice from people that have not purchased a home in the last year.The rules have changed by the federal government.
- Not being completely honest with the lender about child support, alimony, wage garnishments or any other payroll deduction.
- Trash the property in front of the owners.
- Talk about the property in the home, could have camera’s in place.
- Calling the agent on the for sale sign.
- Attend open houses or new construction without me.
- Not telling me if you have a house to sell.
- Delaying paperwork because you are irritated by the frequency and number of requests from the Mortgage Company.
- Finding a lender on the internet that offers 0.001 interest rate.
- Not realizing it is possible to find what you are looking for the very first day you go out (this happens more then you think).
- Waiting to find the absolute perfect house.Read the 80/10/10 rule.
- Not getting a home inspection.
- Not telling me what is most important to you.
- Not using an attorney the specializes in Real Estate.
- Do not cosign for a loan.
- Not being up front with your loan officer (hiding information).
